Photography

I’ve been taking pictures since my father opened a storage box and gave me his ancient 35mm Pentax camera when I was an early teenager. My equipment has come a long way since then, but I still treasure that first camera and the lifetime of creativity unlocked by his gift.

If you’re interested in obtaining any of my photos as a fine art print, I’m delighted to work with you to get the right photo on the right paper at the right size for your space. All prints of my work are shot, edited, printed, mounted (or matted for framing), and signed, by me. My archival pigment inks and arsenal of papers are the finest museum-grade quality, and will last for generations, if not centuries, before fading. Yes, I even have literal white cotton gloves and will use them every step of the way. Email me at photography@kirk.vangorkom.org to get started.

Kirk standing with a very large photo print of a wave crashing onto rocks. An alarmingly large 36x58" print of "Sunset Splash" which ends up looking completely reasonable mounted on a living room wall. Photo of a living room, with a couch, two lamps, and a large photograph of a wave crashing onto rocks mounted onto the wall behind the couch.
